Alumni Webinar: Dr. Paweł Pomianowski
We are honored to host dr. Paweł Pomianowski, MD, who graduated from PUMS English-language medical Class of 1998 and proceeded to complete his residency in internal medicine at Penn State College of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in medical genetics at Yale University School of Medicine. He currently holds the position of Director for the Center of Medical Genetics and Genomics at Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute of ChristianaCare in Delaware, USA.
In his daily practice dr. Pomianowski works as a clinical geneticist, applying genetics and genomics to clinical practice in various areas of medicine. In his talk he will describe his individual career pathway that lead him to this point after graduating from PUMS, as well as about how his daily work in the clinic looks like. He will also present how genetics can be a helpful and efficient diagnostics tool for doctors of different specialties.

The event will be hosted by Prof. Anna Jankowska from PUMS Molecular Biology Lab. The meeting is open to PUMS students, alumni, faculty and staff.
